Ta Ta to My Ta Tas

How does anyone have time for five posts in one day? Um, now six. I'm recovering from breast reduction surgery which is seriously one of the best things I have ever done. I wish I would have done this in my twenties. I have been giganda chested since about fourth grade. This hasn't really ever been to my advantage. There was only one other girl in fourth grade that had anything protruding from her chest. Needless to say I had my bra snapped. In high school I suppose they got me attention but dealing with wearing two bras for cheerleading was a pain. Oh and the actual pain. That didn't start until maybe late twenties.

Anyway, if anyone is thinking of a breast reduction, just do it. I thought I would miss them since they have been such a huge (pun intended) part of my life for so long. I do not miss them one little bit.
Also, I am five days post op and not really in that much pain at all. I can't do a lot so that I don't bust open my stitches which is why sitting around and blogging passes the time. My little princess went to a sitter today because I can't take care of her just yet. No lifting, reaching, etc. My only complaint today is a little itching around the incisions. I miss her of course but it is amazing how much I have gotten done today. Mostly on the computer but mostly productive.

Corinne's First Haircut

Corinne spent most of her first year pretty bald. She finally had enough hair to get a mini-cut just after she turned two in June. I say mini-cut because really we just had her bangs trimmed. Grandma W. is the stylist.

Time Machine Post: Who poo poo'd?

This is my most favorite video of Corinne. I love that laugh.

Two Year Old Pictures

Last week we had some professional pictures done of Corinne and the rest of us. Even Cooper joined in. I only have one picture so far but it's a cute one.

Gymnastics!

Corinne had her first ever gymnastics class yesterday. I signed her up online for a parent and tot class. At the time I signed up, I thought I was signing her up for dance. Turns out it's a dance and gymnastics studio/gym and the class I picked was gymnastics. We'll do dance next month. Of course I had to go to Target and get her her first ever Leotard. Here she is waiting for the class to begin.

Here she is on the bar and the beam. A wide beam. She did the smaller one too. Mommy is so proud of her.

It's a parent and tot class so Daddy walked around with her and helped her do the stations. I had breast reduction surgery just five days ago and can't do any lifting. Daddy was happy to do his part.

Corinne did really well especially because she barely got a nap. You know those days when you have something going on in the evening that your child must have a nap that day in order to do his or her best? uh yeah no nap yesterday. Well, about twenty minutes. Those twenty minutes recharged her for the day. I tried to lay down with her and get her to go to sleep for an hour. Didn't work out in my favor. So she was crabby on the ride to class and I was nervous about how she would act in her first teacher led class like this. She surprised me and did very well.

Here We Are.

I've been trying to write in a journal of sorts to kind of document Corinne's life for her. Big moments. Firsts. etc. Well I kind of fail on that front so let's try this. I also fail on scrap booking, which I used to love to do. I never get pictures printed so sadly they aren't making it into photo albums that Corinne can reminisce with in twenty years.

I'm Brooke. We're a small, happy family. So far Corinne is an only child and it may stay that way. She has a furry brother named Cooper. Here they are. This was taken January 16, 2013 so Corinne was about 19 months old. She is two now.

This is me and my awesome hubby. We've been married three years and together six. We'll call him Joe (because his name is Joe). This was taken in Oct of 2012 when we were headed to my boss's son's wedding.

So, that's us. Now, I'm just going to jump right in chronicling happenings. I will throw in some time machine posts too.  Welcome to From The W's.
